r14929 std is the only build I remember being mostly stable as a repeater. If you're using LAN cables in repeater mode, isn't that just a switch? (Not really repeating any thing). If you have the wireless router connection and using LAN cables on your remote device, you're in client bridge mode rather than repeater.

We use the Client bridge method to setup our DD-WRT as a repeater. By default, DD-WRT will have that mode for most of routers.
